The armrests are solid musical graded ebony wood. These armrests are designed to be attached to the edge of the lower bout of a guitar where the strumming arm sits naturally. The armrest not only protects the finish from harmful sweat and ware from movement of the arm, but it also creates a more comfortable rest compared to a typical sharp right angle edge. This armrest should also improve the sound quality. Place your guitar on your lap face up and strum it once. Now place a few fingers on the top and listen carefully, you will hear a dampening of the tone and a bit of the projection. This is because the top is the "soundboard", the more it resonates, the better the tone, volume, and projection. Imagine how this must sounds when your forearm is resting on the top while playing, dampening such a large area of the top. Testing shows with a resting arm you lose between 15% and 20% of the power and projection! One of the easiest ways to install is to roll a double sided tape which is provided by us. The tape can be applied into a long string (shape), place it just inside the edge of the armrest, align the armrest on the guitar's top and gently press until you are happy with the adhesion. Please note the ebony is mostly dark with a little variation of light brown. The condition is brand new.

• This armrest comes with pre cut 6" double sided tape. The tape is permanent.
• To mount tape: Make sure all surface is clean & dry. Using a light pencil mark, note where armrest is to be secured. Remove a piece of foam mounting tape. Position tape so weight of the armrest is evenly distributed. Press firmly for 30 seconds. Remove remaining protective paper from tape and place armrest in exact position marked. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
• This armrest will protect the finish of the guitar from blemishing at the point of contact with the forearm. It will allow the soundboard to vibrate freely by reducing the damping effect of the forearm as it contacts the side and soundboard when playing.
