Thermichef's Pizza Steel, available in 14x14 Square, 16x16 Square, and 14x20 XL sizes, is a superior alternative to ceramic pizza stones. Constructed from low carbon steel, it offers excellent heat conductivity, enabling wood oven-like pizzas to be cooked in under 5 minutes when pre-heated at high temperatures. The 3/16' thickness is ideal for one pizza, while the deluxe 3/8' thickness retains heat exceptionally well for multiple pizzas. The thicker the steel, the better the conductivity and heat retention, at the trade-off of additional weight. Before use, the steel requires cleaning, oiling, and heat seasoning, for which instructions are provided. Once seasoned, the steel provides a smooth surface to prevent sticking. Steel will change color as it seasons over time, from golden brown to eventually black. Suitable for grills, stovetops, or ovens, this Pizza Steel is a perfect tool for creating consistent, high-quality pizzas and much more! Works great for sourdough and other open baking.
